El Salvador Finca Castelgazzo

Castelgazzo was founded in 1995 by Mario and “La Geña” Cristiani. From the beginning, it was conceived as an agricultural and forestry project with a strong commitment to the land and sustainability.

The farm occupies a unique location in the buffer zone of Montecristo National Park, within the Trifinio Biosphere Reserve, where El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras converge. Surrounded by cloud forests, the area reaches 2,418 metres above sea level, creating a distinctive microclimate for producing high-quality coffee.

Castelgazzo is described as more than a coffee plantation. It is an ongoing project combining forestry production, environmental conservation and sustainable human development.

Following the passing of its founders, their daughters Paola, Lucia and Carolina continued the project, maintaining their parents’ vision of creating a place centred around peace, natural beauty and a deep connection with nature.

The philosophy behind Castelgazzo is based on creating long-lasting, symbiotic relationships inspired by nature. The farm sees each cup of coffee as contributing to the continuation of its founders’ legacy of sustainability and excellence.
